The Filmpool’s 23rd annual Screening Under The Steeple happened this past Friday May 22nd at the Artesian on 13th. The night was filled with Prairie Gothic themed films, curated by Karen Elliott, that had everyone laughing in their seats!
It was also a very special night, in that it was dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Crepeau, whose final film, ADHD: A Gift, ended out the night’s lineup of shorts.
THE NIGHT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS WITH JUST OVER 90 PEOPLE IN ATTENDANCE!!!
The Filmpool would like to thank everyone who came out to support Saskatchewan film. We would also like to thank the following people for their help in making this night such a successful one; the coordinators of the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, the staff at the Artesian, Karen Elliott for her curatorial skills, and of course the Filmpool’s annual funders: Sask Culture, Saskatchewan Lotteries, Saskatchewan Arts Board, and Canada Council for the Arts.
The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is a non-profit artist-run centre that supports independent, visionary filmmaking by local artists.
