Filmpool Grants & Defferals
The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative provides financial support to members through our Grant opportunities. Full Members are eligible to apply for funding and equipment deferrals at either of our grant deadlines - March 31 and September 30 - every year.
G r a n t s are available for production, post-production and distribution / 35 mm blow-up. All grants are specific to the phase of production and do not cover costs retroactively. Grants for production and post-production provide financial assistance of up to $2500 per project while distribution / 35 mm blow up only provides $1000 in support. Students are unfortunately not eligible for equipment deferrals through this program. All grants are assessed by an arms-length jury of peers and are ratified by the Board of Directors. For details please call 306 757 8818 and ask for the Filmpool Production Coordinator.
D e f e r r a l s are also available to Filmpool members. Full members may apply for equipment deferrals in their grant applications. Deferrals are assessed in the same manner as grants are provided to projects based on the artistic merit of the production. Juries may approve deferral requests without approving any other funding support.
Upcoming Grant Deadline: September 30th, 2010
