About the Event

Calling all filmmakers! Take part in a Canada-wide film challenge where you and your team have just 48 hours to write, shoot, direct, and edit your own short film!

Unique to Saskatchewan, in this event, participants will solely shoot their project on 16mm B&W film and have the opportunity to hand-develop with eco-friendly developing processes. Once registered, you and your assigned team will receive an equipment package featuring a Bolex H16 camera, lenses, developing kit, and everything you need to go out and shoot the analog short film of your wildest dreams. Just remember, you only have 48 hours...

Register today! https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/153720220317

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE.

$25/Filmpool member OR $40/non-member (+GST)

If the registration fee is a barrier for entry, please email programs@filmpool.ca and we can accommodate!

**Note: if you register for the event and are unable to attend come June 11th, you must inform us of a cancellation ("Request a Refund" option on Eventbrite) at least 72 hours before the event date to receive a refund.  We ask you be considerate of this cancellation policy, as this event has limited spots available.**

COVID-19 protocols and safety measures will be in place and will be followed during this event (according to SHA protocol guidelines).

The Filmpool office, located in the heart of downtown Regina, will serve as the primary hub for the event, with accessible washrooms available in the building. Staff will be present to help guide the event and we will have film specialists on-site in case your team is needing some assistance with the analog process. Teams will be created by our staff and selected randomly. Once the challenge officially begins, teams will receive a "key" containing this year's theme as well as secret requirements that must be followed, to ensure that everyone is starting on the same page. From there, you will receive your production kit with all your gear and film stock and the frenzy will begin...

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and don't hesitate to get in touch. Most important, thank you for your interest in this program and HAVE FUN!
