Splice Magazine - A Filmpool publication since 1977
SPICE Winter 2009 on stands AND on-line now!
Splice is published twice yearly and is distributed to Filmpool members, artist-run centres, and individuals all across Canada. Splice magazine reflects critical and artistic views of residents of Saskatchewan. All Filmpool members will receive the latest copy of SPLICE in the mail; Splice is also available for pick up at The Filmpool, The RPL Film Theatre (downtown) and Chapters (located South Albert in Regina).
The Filmpool accepts submissions year round for Splice. We are always looking for articles and photographs for Splice magazine. ANYONE CAN SUBMIT AN ARTICLE FOR SPLICE MAGAZINE, not just Filmpool Members. Please contact the Filmpool @ 306 757 8818 if you would like to get involved with the creation of SPLICE. The Filmpool pays writing fees for articles ($75/article). All decisions regarding prospective articles and submissions are made by the Splice Magazine chair person and the Splice editorial committee. Submitting an article does not guarantee inclusion of your article.
Guidelines for Contributors: Critical reviews, interviews, essays, personal
reflections and opinions are all welcome. E-mail splicemag@filmpool.ca and let us
know what you have in mind. A honorarium is paid to those who are published, per
article with accompanying digital images to accompany your piece. These must be at
least 300 dpi in TIFF, EPS, PDF, or JPEG formats. Be sure to include
credit and/or copyright information for all photographs. All
contributors must include a brief (one or two lines) bio or description
of who you are. Written articles should be about 1500-2000 words and have accompanying images. Send submissions to splicemag(at)filmpool dot ca
