If you are not yet a member, please see our Join or Renew & Membership Options pages to help figure out what best suits your needs. You can also contact mic@filmpool.ca for guidance or to help answer any questions. We are a cooperative, and all new membership applications must be approved by our Board of Directors at one of their meetings, which happen every 6-8 weeks. Please keep this in mind when applying and looking at equipment for a project.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Bookings must be made at least 24 HOURS [48 hours recommended] in advance of the pickup date for all rentals. Larger equipment packages may require more time.
DO NOT LEAVE EQUIPMENT IN ANY VEHICLE UNATTENDED. This voids coverage by most insurance policies. It may also lead to equipment damage in warm weather or extremely cold weather.

DO NOT LEAVE EQUIPMENT ANYWHERE IT MAY BE SUBJECTED TO EXTREME HIGH HEAT or cold, provide cooling if it is necessary to work in extreme high heat areas.

RENTAL RATES
Please email production@filmpool.ca or call us to check equipment / facility availability and receive a quote. Get in touch with us as far in advance as possible to secure your booking.

Member Rates and Commercial Rates are charged as follows:

Daily (any part of one day, up to 24 hours): this is the lowest charge for any piece of equipment unless otherwise specified. Some facilities may be rented by partial day or hourly.

Weekend: 1.5 x the Daily rate.

Weekly: 4 x the Daily rate.
COMMERCIAL RATES WILL BE CHARGED TO;

All renters who are NON-MEMBERS.

Any renter; member or non-member, for a non-independent or commercial project. (Any work for others; paid or unpaid. Any work where the renter, as a member in good standing, does not completely own the project or copyright for that project).
Payment is due before or at the time of pick up.

6% PST is added to the invoice for equipment and facility rentals.
A deposit may also be required for large or long-term orders. This deposit will not be refunded if the equipment is returned late, incomplete, soiled, damaged, or improperly packaged.*
EQUIPMENT PICK UP
Equipment pickup is between 12:00 PM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, unless other arrangements are made with the Production Coordinator. Equipment must be picked up by the renter or a Filmpool approved representative of the Renter.

EQUIPMENT RETURN
Equipment is due back by no later than 3:00 pm on the due date unless other arrangements are made in advance. Late equipment will be charged at a daily rate equivalent to the rental rate.

The equipment has been checked and is in operational condition with damage and features as noted. Any damage found upon return that has not been noted will be charged to the member.
Members are responsible for checking/testing equipment before taking it out. Members are to contact the Production Coordinator with any equipment problems they encounter. Members who try to repair equipment may be charged for the replacement of said equipment if the equipment is returned in unsatisfactory condition.
While the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative’s equipment insurance policy may protect against some losses, the renter is responsible for repairing or replacing items lost, damaged, or stolen. The renter is also responsible for any consequential damages to property or persons due to using the equipment.
*Deposit - $30 deposit for standard equipment, $200 for 4k camera packages and $500 for the ArriSRII. Other deposit rates vary depending on the equipment package.
