About the Event
This 8-day program introduces residency participants to the world of cinema and filmmaking through the production of personal short films and collaborative video projects. Participants will also engage with analog filmmaking practices, such as shooting and hand-processing 16mm film! During this artist residency, youth will learn the ins and outs of film production in a fun, exciting, inclusive, and welcoming environment. The residency will cap off with a screening of their created works at Nuit Blanche Regina on August 26th!
YFAIR is being held at the Filmpool office, #301 - 1822 Scarth Street, in the heart of downtown Regina, situated on Treaty 4 Territory, the original lands of the nêhiyawak, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation. The doors are located on Scarth Street and we are on the top floor. There is an elevator if needed.
