About the Event
As part of our upcoming Colour Reversal Moving Image Lab, the Filmpool will be hosting a virtual information session on Monday, February 28th at 5:00 PM CST. This session will be led by Filmpool ED Hagere Selam "shimby" Zegeye-Gebrehiwot & filmmaker Rhayne Vermette, as they discuss the program and answer questions in a public forum setting! The meeting will be held over Zoom and you can message us or RSVP (above) to get the Zoom link directly in your inbox. This info session is designed to hold space for potential applicants or nominators who may have questions and/or inquiries about the lab. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the application process, lab content and expectations, and to have a direct conversation with the facilitators & organizers of this program!
Colour Reversal (CR) is a BIPOC centered analog film incubator in Regina, Saskatchewan, Treaty 4 territory set to take place in late March 2022. The place based research lab merges storytelling with experimental 16mm film in an intergenerational arts context and will consist of a 5 day retreat followed by a self-determined mentorship.
