On Saturday, October 17th, join us in a new virtual workshop with editor extraordinaire Mattias Graham. Free for Saskatchewan Filmpool members. $20 for non-members.

“The Editing Process” workshop will highlight valuable post-production concepts and techniques and together with Mattias Graham, attendees will virtually work through examples within editing software, providing tangible insight and experience into the vast world of film editing.

Mattias Graham is a settler filmmaker from Regina, SK, currently based in Montreal, QC. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Specialization in Film Production ‘14)) from Concordia University, and pursues work as a freelance editor in addition to personal film projects. His previous short film Gas Can (2017) won the SIFA for Best Short Film in 2017 and the Ruth Shaw - Best of Saskatchewan award at the Yorkton Film Festival 2017, and screened internationally in the US and Aotearoa (New Zealand). He’s edited everything from short documentaries like From Up North (dir. Trudy Stewart, 2017), to feature horror films like Bleed With Me (dir. Amelia Moses, 2020), which had its premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival this year, and loves helping others tell their stories whether through editing, writing or cinematography. Mattias also does video work in games, helping developers pitch their projects. His next short film, Bleach, which won the WGC English-language script prize at Cours écrire ton court 2019, is slated for production in January 2021.
