The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is committed to providing opportunities for independent filmmakers to increase their skills and knowledge through innovative and high-quality programming. We invite those interested in facilitating or requesting a workshop to complete the form linked below. If you are interested in leading a workshop, but do not have prior experience teaching or facilitating, we have the capacity to collaborate with you to support the development of a workshop or program that will benefit the community. The Filmpool is committed to providing support in this way as a form of professional development and community investment.
We are proud to offer half and full day CARFAC rates to all workshop facilitators. Additionally, everyone who applies to facilitate a workshop will receive $20 in Filmpool Bucks, in recognition of the time and effort that goes into preparing an application. Workshop facilitators do not have to be Filmpool Members.
On the form, you will be asked to submit a statement of interest, and your CV. You may provide other supporting documents (e.g.:cover letter, letters of recommendation) if you feel they will support your application, but these are not required. Alternate forms of application are also welcome.
Rolling submissions are accepted year-round, with applications reviewed monthly.
