The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is proud to present the Ninth Annual Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards (SIFA). This evening of awards and screenings will celebrate and showcase the best of Saskatchewan independent film, with the winners announced live during the in person SIFA awards ceremony on Saturday November 26th, 2022 at 7pm, hosted by the one and only, Kris Alvarez.
The SIFA will present awards in the following categories: Best Short Film, Best Long Form, Best Student Film, Best Technical Achievement, Best Performance, and Best Music Video. The Audience Choice Award winner will be selected by online and in person votes the night of the awards. Live transcription and American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
We will also be livestreaming the event on our website, sifa.ca for those who wish to tune in online.
All nominated films will be available for online viewing the weekend of the SIFAs. Released at noon on Saturday, all films will be online via the sifa.ca website and our YouTube channel until midnight Sunday evening. 36 hours to catch the whole program!
Catering will be provided by our friends at Bone & Broth Kitchen, along with a non-alcoholic drink selection of Good Spirit Kombucha and Bubly.
Masks, boosters and flu shots are encouraged to help keep everyone safe this winter season.
Admission is by donation.
