The Filmpool is excited to have partnered with Queen City Hub, Regina Advocates for Design (RAD), OPEN, and the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) to present: Urbanity Open Air: Building Safe and Welcoming Spaces.
Discover a familiar downtown alley transformed by light, structure, and urban dwellers like you. Listen and learn as community leaders investigate what is needed to create safe and welcoming spaces for all citizens! Experience outdoor installations by local Saskatchewan artists, including:
The Floating World Remix by Ian Campbell and Ernie Dulanowsky (aka Pulsewidth)
Light of Night, Spring, and Striae: three short films by Nikko Snyder
OrangeCrush by OPEN and Tomorrow Collective
The outdoor installations will be viewable Thursday, October 8th 5:30-9:00pm in the alley between Scarth St. and Cornwall St. – off of the City Centre Plaza.
The alley will be open from 5:30-9pm, with talks beginning at 6pm. Artist installations will be open and running throughout the night.
