The Cinema of Dr. Caligari

The Filmpool’s involvement with the Caligari Project continues on October 20th when we will be presenting The Cinema of Dr. Caligari which is a screening of short German Expressionist films from local and international filmmakers. The screening is presented as part of the Caligari Saloon: An Evening of Sideshow, Cinema, Art and Angst. The evening is presented in partnership with The Mackenzie Art Gallery and Prairie Puppet Underground. The event is hosted at the Mackenzie Art Gallery. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the screening starts at 7:00pm. Following the screening the Prairie Puppet Underground are set up for the Somnambulist Puppet Sideshow. In addition to hosting the nights events the Mackenzie Art Gallery has on display a German Expressionists and their Contemporaries exhibit. Admission for the evening is by donation at the door.
