Executive Director

The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is seeking to hire a full-time staff member to fill the position of Executive Director. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Since 1977, the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative continues to be a non-profit artist-run centre, which supports, encourages and assists independent filmmaking in Saskatchewan. The Filmpool is committed to developing an awareness and appreciation of independent film, which reflects the individual and collective expression of Saskatchewan people.

Job Description

The Executive Director will be responsible for writing and preparing grant applications and follow up reports, preparing and delivering the annual budget, and preparing

and supporting the annual audit. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the day-to-day financial affairs of the organization, which includes general bookkeeping, budget management, cost reporting, and taking a leadership role in all sponsorship and fundraising activities.

The Executive Director will be responsible for administrative duties, staff management, working in support of active committees, and also representing the Film- pool in an advocacy role in the community.

Finally, the Executive Director is a staff member of the Filmpool, an artist-run- centre, as such this position will often be called upon to fulfill basic support for programming and operations at the Filmpool, which are not outlined in the job description.

This position includes a five day work week (35 hours) with full benefits.

Salary: $40,000
