The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is seeking to hire a full-time staff member to fill the position of Production Coordinator.

Since 1977, the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative continues to be a non-profit artist-run centre, which supports, encourages and assists independent filmmaking in Saskatchewan. We are looking for an individual with advanced knowledge and experience with Digital and Analog film equipment, as well as the lighting, grip equipment and accessories in our cata- logue.

Job Description

The Production Coordinator will be responsible for all production activity through the Filmpool, including organizing, purchasing and maintaining Filmpool production equipment and facilities. This position is also responsible for equipment access to the Filmpool membership and the Saskatchewan arts community. The position will also be responsible in administrating the Filmpool’s Independent Production Grant Program.

Working in association with Programming, the position will be responsible for the delivery of all technical and equipment based workshops and activities designed to set up technical training opportunities for the membership in accordance with our programming vision. The Production Coordinator represents the Filmpool to the arts community, and serves as an advocate for film in that community.

Reporting to the Filmpool’s Executive Director, the Production Coordinator will be asked to assist with gathering information as it relates to Filmpool operations and special project grants, as well as final reports of all Filmpool programmed events. Finally, the Production Coordinator is a staff member of the Filmpool, an artist-run-centre, as such this position will often be called upon to fulfill basic support for programming and operations at the Filmpool, which are not outlined in the job description.

This position includes a five day work week (35 hours) with full benefits. Salary: $32,000
