Wow! IPUFF was a huge success!

The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is extremely pleased to announce that the first ever International Puppet Undergroud Film Festival (IPUFF) held this past weekend at Regina’s Dunlop Art Gallery and Theater was an overwhelming success!

Capacity audiences for both screenings, sold out puppet making workshops and engaging artists talks all combined to makethis one of the most fascinating and important events in Filmpool history. We are sorry that some people were turned away because the screenings were sold out – we will let you know if there is another screening opportunity!

Thanks to Wendy Peart and the Dunlop Art Gallery for partnering with the Filmpool to present this event. Special thanks to ‘Team IPUFF’ comprised of Chrystene Ells (Artistic Director), Berny Hi (Technical Director) and Amber Christensen (Program Coordinator) for their incredible dedication, energy and commitment to this unforgettable weekend. You guys were absolutely awesome! Lastly, congratulations to all 19 local filmmaking artists who premiered their short puppet films in front of a sold out, and enthusiastic audience Saturday night.

IPUFF even made the GlobalTV news on Saturday! Jump to 6:30 to see the IPUFF story.

Here is another story from Global News about the success of the IPUFF event.

The coverage for IPUFF was pretty amazing – not only did we get two stories with Global, but CBC (3:50 mark), CTV, and Prairie Dog Magazine have all had stories about IPUFF!

THANK YOU again to everyone involved, to the filmmakers, and to the audience for stopping by! We hope you all enjoyed the festival!
